The brief will see Frank PR raising the profile of the company with core audiences – mums and men - supporting all facets of the business including pharmacy, OTC, health and beauty and pet.

Frank PR's appointment follows a multi-million pound rebrand as part of a push to take a greater share of the £35bn UK health and beauty market from both high street chemists and internet competitors.

Andrew Bloch, Frank PR MD and co-founder, commented: "Frank will be helping to build the brand by imbuing it with a personality. In addition, we will drive credibility within the online pharmacy sector and position it as a strong challenger to the traditional high street pharmacies."

The company, which claims to be the largest of its kind in the UK, is backed by investors including Skype co-founder Niklas Zennström.
