SANTA MONICA, CA: Zeno Group has appointed Heather Krug, former SVP and GM of Coyne West Coast, to serve as MD of the agency’s Santa Monica office.
Krug, who started in the role on Tuesday, has succeeded former Santa Monica leader Lisa Robinson. After leaving Zeno earlier this year, Robinson launched her own firm called Crafted Communications, according to her LinkedIn profile
Reporting directly to CEO Barby Siegel, Krug will handle the daily operations of the office, which has about 30 staffers.
"I was really attracted to Zeno due to its strengths in the US and its global capabilities, so I’m looking forward to leading a great team in the Santa Monica office and elevating Los Angeles to a higher level," said Krug.
With a communications background in consumer, entertainment, lifestyle, and sports, she added that she plans to strengthen those areas in the region. Fitness is another space Krug said she’ll look to expand in the office.
In addition to working closely with staffers and clients, Krug said she will focus on developing integrated campaigns and building out digital platforms.
Before joining Coyne last July as head of its first West Coast office in Santa Monica, Krug was CEO and president of Bear Grylls Ventures for a year, serving as the star's publicist and orchestrating TV and business deals.
Prior to that, she served as an EVP at Rogers & Cowan, where she worked for 13 years. Throughout her tenure at Rogers & Cowan, Krug oversaw the consumer, entertainment, and sports divisions.
