British Airways government affairs team in restructure

The future of the government affairs team at British Airways is uncertain amid a restructure that will centralise the department within BA’s parent company International Airlines Group.

An IAG spokeswoman declined to comment on speculation that Tom King, the head of government affairs at BA, was set to leave the company.

The spokeswoman confirmed that government affairs for IAG airlines, which include Spain’s Iberia and Vueling, were being centralised under IAG’s chief of staff Julia Simpson.
