WASHINGTON: Kglobal is providing PR and strategic communications services for the Organization for Peace and Justice, a group that is working to bring attention to human rights issues in Bangladesh.
According to Foreign Agents Registration documents, kglobal was hired by lobbying firm Cassidy & Associates "to support their engagement" with the organization. Per the terms of the agreement, the firm will provide services aimed at increasing awareness of human-rights issues in Bangladesh under the current government there and supporting human rights reform in the country.
Kglobal will conduct a media audit, develop "media-friendly" campaign messaging and a media plan, and preliminarily organize "credible western third-party spokesmen," according to the documents. The firm will also engage lawmakers and conduct outreach to the State Department.
The agency’s agreement with the Organization for Peace and Justice is not the outcome of a formal, written contract or correspondence between the two groups, according to the FARA documents.
A kglobal spokesman was not immediately available for further comment.
