BLUE BELL, PA: Global IT and services company Unisys Corporation has selected Grayling as corporate PR AOR.
The work began April 1, following a three-round RFP process that started in October. Approximately 10 other agencies were considered, said Jim Kerr, VP of global public and analyst relations at Unisys.
Previously, Lewis PR served as AOR for Unisys since early 2011, working on corporate and federal government relations. The relationship ended last month, and Kerr noted that the firm was included in the RFP.
A representative from Lewis PR was not immediately available for comment.
Grayling is tasked with supporting the company in the US market with brand positioning, reputation management, data driven media and social media programs, and thought leadership initiatives.
"We feel, in some ways, Unisys is the best kept secret in the IT industry and we want to change that," Kerr said. "Grayling is the right partner to help us to do that by shaping our overall corporate and narrative messaging."
Roughly eight agency staffers are working on the account, which is being led out of Grayling’s San Francisco office, with support from the firm’s teams in New York and Washington, DC.
The contract on the account is for three years. Budget information was not disclosed.
"Through [Grayling’s] strengths in tech, reputation management, analytics, and our knowledge of vertical industries, like the federal market, the banking financial sector, healthcare, and retail, we really think this is a strong partnership, and we are going to help [Unisys] to reposition the company," said Peter Harris, CEO of Grayling US.
