SINGAPORE: The Hoffman Agency has promoted Jenny Chan to VP of new business development and marketing for Asia-Pacific and hired an industry veteran to fill her former position.
Chan will manage regional initiatives to support new business opportunities and elevate the firm’s position in the PR industry in the new role. The agency’s Hong Kong office has "continued to achieve year-on-year double-digit growth" under her leadership, according to the firm.
Ann Hung will take her place as GM. She has more than 17 years of in-house and agency experience and has worked with brands such as F5 Networks, IBM, and Starbucks. Prior to joining Hoffman, she worked for Bite, Thomson Reuters, and Ketchum.
The appointments come as a growing number of startups and multinationals based in Asia are looking for cross-cultural communications counsel in the West, and vice versa, a trend the Hoffman Agency is hoping to leverage.
Both Hung and Chan will report to Natalie Lowe, MD for Asia-Pacific.
The moves "will help enhance the depth of our services that we offer to clients within the region," said Lowe.
Hoffman Agency’s client portfolio in Asia includes brands such as China Mobile, Internet Society Hong Kong, Chicago Booth, and Siemens.
