NEW YORK: Linda Recupero has left MSLGroup after one year of serving as SVP and New York corporate practice director to join NASDAQ OMX as global head of communications.
Recupero started the role at NASDAQ last month, a representative from MSLGroup confirmed.
She is tasked with overseeing the company’s external and corporate communications functions, along with the communications for all global business units, including the company’s MarketSite in Times Square, according to Recupero’s LinkedIn profile.
Some of her other tasks include leading media strategy, issues management, proactive story development, and reputation management globally at NASDAQ, her LinkedIn page notes.
Recupero and representatives from NASDAQ were not immediately available for comment.
Last March, Recupero joined MSLGroup after serving as senior MD at Teneo Holdings for a year.
Representatives from MSLGroup would not confirm when or why Recupero left her role, or who would replace her.
In February 2012, Frank De Maria left his role of SVP and global head of corporate communications at NASDAQ. At the time, it was unclear who would replace him.
Before MSL, Recupero held a number of senior level communications roles, such as global head of communications at corporate law firm White & Case and EVP of public affairs at HSBC.
She also previously served as chair of the brand marketing practice at Burson-Marsteller, as well as MD and chair of the US consumer marketing communications practice at Weber Shandwick.
Earlier this year, NASDAQ OMX's GlobeNewswire formed a strategic partnership with Hispanicize Wire to expand its press-release-distribution service to US Hispanic and Puerto Rican journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
