The EU has issued a multimillion-pound tender on behalf of the Commission in relation to its annual European Development Days forum, which aims to draw together figures from around the globe to debate development issues.
Since launching in 2006, it has featured speakers including former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan and former Haiti Prime Minister Garry Conille.
Stating the event "encourages media interest in the key role played by the European Commission on development issues", as well as allowing networking and taking stock of research, the tender reveals the EU is on the hunt for help to organise and PR the event.
The communications work will centre on helping "design and implement a promotion campaign around the event for which the contractor will propose a communication strategy, including logistical aspects before, during and after the event," it adds.
The overall value of the 12-month tender is estimated to be between €3m and €12m.
