Online wish service Crowdwish hires EdenCancan

Crowdwish, an online service that allows users to make wishes and vote for them to be granted, has appointed EdenCancan as its PR agency.

Users can choose up to ten wishes for anything they want, either creating their own or giving support for existing wishes, and every 24 hours the most popular wish is chosen for the site's team of experts to make happen in some way.

EdenCancan is handling the launch of the site with a PR campaign focusing on attracting coverage on the wishes granted. Shortly after starting the work it achieved press coverage for a stunt carried out by Crowdwish in which it tricked former Apprentice contestant Katie Hopkins into signing a document committing her to "stop making controversial and asinine comments".

EdenCancan won the account through a non-competitive pitch and has previously worked with Crowdwish founder Bill Griffin when he was marketing director at the agency’s client Comedy Central.
