Keene owner Simon Quarendon promotes Jake Rigg to succeed him as MD

Keene Communications owner and MD Simon Quarendon has stepped back to become chairman of the public affairs agency.

He has promoted senior consultant Jake Rigg to succeed him as MD but is still working full-time, according to Rigg.

Quarendon had been MD since he bought the agency six years ago from Tony Richards, who founded it in the mid-1980s, and has not previously had a chairman in place.

Keene has 10 staff and works for clients including chemicals company DuPont, recruitment consultants trade association APSCo and the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
