Former COI PR director Oliver Hickson takes interim role at Media Trust

The Media Trust, which helps charities communicate, has drafted in public sector comms stalwart Oliver Hickson to head up its marketing.

Hickson, who will continue to run Hickson Communications, steps into the interim role on a part-time basis following the departure of Gavin Sheppard to the Smart Meter Central Delivery Body.

Before setting up his own agency, Hickson worked in a number of top public sector roles, including being PR and sponsorship director at the Government’s now-abolished Central Office of Information (COI) from 1995 until 2008. 

He takes on the role ahead of Media Trust’s spring conference at the end of this month, named Content: Create, Connect, Change.
