Kopparberg shifts from Manifest to W amid strategy rethink

Cider brand Kopparberg has handed its PR and social media account to W after less than a year with Manifest.

The recruitment of W follows a pitch process and comes as the brand shifts its comms strategy towards high-profile cross-platform events.

The account moved to Manifest only last March.

Referencing an agency portfolio that includes Hendrick's Gin and Soho House, Kopparberg head of marketing Rob Calder said: "We love the work that W has done across events, working with premium edgy brands. The agency gave us real confidence that it understands our brand – and our future direction."

Kopparberg turned over £120m last year – a rise of 24 per cent on 2012. It sells 40 per cent of its brewery output in the UK.
