LONDON: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has won a lucrative retained account in the UK for TV shopping business QVC after a three-way pitch.
The brief, reported to be worth a mid-six-figure sum, was previously handled by Mischief.
QVC wants the agency to focus on “telling the stories behind its brands and products to people passionate about shopping,” according to a statement from H+K.
A cross-sector agency team including H+K's retail and leisure and beauty and grooming units will handle the consumer-focused program. Associate director Rhenna Al-Jabban will lead account work.
PRWeek UK revealed that the pitch was taking place late last year, with one well-placed agency source stating that work was a “similar” amount to its estimated £500,000 (about $822,000) when Mischief was hired in 2010.
