Natalie Ravitz, director of communications and spokeswoman for New York City's Department of Education, has left to join News Corp. as CEO Rupert Murdoch's chief of staff, according to published reports.
Ravitz is expected to join the media company in two weeks. Her appointment was announced via internal memo sent by Murdoch to his staff on Tuesday.
On Monday, News Corp.'s Teri Everett said she is stepping down as CCO next month. Julie Henderson was promoted from within to take over the top communications role.
