What: SocialBro is a Twitter dashboard that helps social media professionals better manage and analyze their communities. Filters and search criteria, such as location, description, name, number of followers, frequency of tweets, account age, recent activity, language, time zone, and influence score allow people to learn more about their Twitter communities.
The team, led by CEO Luis Pablo Pardo, developed the app after realizing there was a broad need for a tool to help with community analysis and management.
How: The tool operates as a Chrome app and desktop version. A cloud version will soon be rolled out for large Twitter accounts.
SocialBro lets users download their Twitter community to a local database that can be accessed even when offline.
SocialBro also allows users to discover followers that recently unfollowed you, detect potential spammers, visualize the global distribution of your community in a map, and "visualize statistical information about your community, such as time zone and language charts, users by number of followers or recent activity, and more," says Pardo.
Why: SocialBro helps PR pros manage multiple Twitter accounts and get an in-depth understanding of their following in order to develop targeted outreach and engagement strategies. It also helps users find influencers to follow or interact with, monitor hashtags, and export data to PDF or Excel files for use in reports.
Who: The tool is designed for "community managers, social media strategists, and anyone who uses Twitter as a professional tool," says Pardo.
SocialBro currently services about 50,000 users around the world. Corporations that utilize it include CBS, the San Francisco Giants, PayPal, Chevrolet, TomTom, UBM, MasterCard, Coca-Cola, Bacardi, Cisco, and Havaianas.
