PUTEAUX, FRANCE: Havas reported $2.2 billion in revenue in 2011, representing 5.9% organic growth compared with the previous year. The holding company also saw more than $159 million in net income last year, up 9% compared with 2010.
Havas cited Euro RSCG's win of Coty's global corporate communications messaging and outreach work, and the agency's selection to handle work for Reckitt Benckiser's acquisition of Durex as 2011 highlights.
The holding company reported nearly $655 million in total revenue in the fourth quarter, up 5.4% compared with the prior year. Its Q4 North American earnings of $189 million represented 3.5% growth compared with 2010. For full-year 2011, it earned $692 million in revenue in North America, representing 6.8% organic growth compared with the prior year.
The holding company said in an earnings statement that its North American region “outperformed market forecasts,” with performance “driven by strong results at Arnold and the media businesses and double-digit growth at several local agencies.”
Havas saw $292.9 million in income from operations in 2011, resulting in a margin of 13.4% for the year, up three percentage points from 2010.
Organic growth represents change in revenue without measuring the impact of acquisitions and disposals.
