NEW YORK: Edelman has teamed up with Syracuse University's SI Newhouse School of Public Communications for a diversity internship program.

The agency will grant the Edelman-Newhouse “Entrepreneurial Immersion” Diversity Internship Award to select undergraduate and graduate students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 credits at the time of application. Students must also be black or Hispanic to apply. Edelman developed the internship to give members of under-represented ethnic groups the opportunity to enter the PR world.

All Newhouse students can apply for the program, but PR majors will be considered first. Winning students will be given a paid eight-week internship at Edelman this summer, as well as a housing stipend.
