ATLANTA: Outdoor lawn and garden equipment company Husqvarna has selected Ketchum as AOR for its US business.
John Marchionda, VP of marketing at Husqvarna, said the company chose Ketchum because it “recognized their energy, creativity, and ability to demonstrate and implement programs that would drive measurable results during the review process.”
Ketchum's Atlanta office will work to increase the company's brand recognition among consumers and “drive home the belief that purchasing a Husqvarna product is a good investment,” said Hilary McKean, partner and director of Ketchum South.
In addition to managing media relations, the agency is providing social media support for the company, McKean said.
In 2006, Husqvarna, then a division of Electrolux Group, tapped Strata-G Communications as PR AOR to focus on brand awareness, media relations, and though leadership and to create an internal campaign to improve the company's relationships with outdoor power equipment dealers in North America. Husqvarna spun off from Electrolux that year.
