PARIS: Publicis Group has acquired Asian specialty marketing agencies King Harvests and Luminous. Both firms will be integrated into MSLGroup.

Luminous has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Macau, and produces live marketing events for clients such as Cathay Pacific, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Prudential.

King Harvests has a staff of more than 100 with expertise in events and experiential marketing for clients such as Bosch, Haier, Sanyo, and Siemens.

Laura Lee and Antony Spanbrook, founders of King Harvests and Luminous, respectively, will report to Isabelle Chouvet, the founder of MSLGroup luxury events communications agency Emotion.

Olivier Fleurot, CEO of MSLGroup, said in a statement that “experiential marketing is today viewed by both agencies and clients as one of the biggest marketing opportunities for the next few years, alongside social and digital.”

Publicis has been on an acquisition spree in recent months. It bought Schwartz Communications in September and merged it into MSLGroup. It also bought Flip Media, a Dubai, UAE-based digital agency network, in February, and acquired Poland's Ciszewski Public Relations last December. The holding company also obtained Russian agency The Creative Factory in January.

Specifically in China, Publicis has acquired digital agency Gomye and Dreams Communication, a healthcare communications firm, in the past year.
