CHICAGO: Cision has launched its Social Influencer Search tool. The platform helps businesses conduct detailed keyword searches to find digital influencers.
Users can search across blogs, social networks, and the web to find influencers that are talking about specific topics. They can also filter results by outlet, focus, location, market, and beat.
After finding a particular influencer, the tool provides a profile of information including contact details, social network handles, and the type of content he or she covers.
“For example, a PR professional who wants to promote an iPad app for kids can see who's talking about the recent iPad release, who covers family and parenting, or who writes for a mom blog,” said Heidi Sullivan, VP of media research at Cision.
Customers can also use Cision's Influencer Rating tool to gauge the clout of contacts to determine which are most influential.
Sullivan added that Cision “saw the need to provide insight on real-time news and opinions on influencers” in the company's database.
Currently in beta, Social Influencer Search is available within Cision's Influencer package at no additional charge.
