NEW YORK: French retail holding company PPR has tapped Ruder Finn as its corporate PR agency partner in the US after a competitive review process.
PPR has a portfolio of 16 luxury, sports, and lifestyle brands such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Puma, and Sergio Rossi.
PPR representatives confirmed the company selected Ruder Finn, but declined to comment further on the selection process or the relationship.
Ruder Finn, with a core team of as many as five staffers on the account, will focus on raising awareness of PPR innovations, initiatives, and sustainability programs to “top-tier” print, broadcast, and online media outlets in the US, said Louise Harris, chief global strategist at the agency.
Harris will lead strategy on the account, and SVP Maryam Ayromlou will handle media efforts, Harris added. Budget was undisclosed. Ruder Finn is PPR's only agency in the US, she said.
Harris explained that Ruder Finn will help “build reputation for PPR in the Americas” and support Laurent Claquin, the recently appointed head of PPR Americas. The firm will also work on some digital and social media efforts for the company's corporate platforms.
“This company is a perfect fit for us because it fits into two of our strategic growth platforms, corporate expertise and lifestyle business,” said Harris.
