BALTIMORE: Imre has expanded its social media practice and offering through the launch of 5Loom.
The 5Loom practice will provide social marketing services for clients in the financial services, healthcare, and sports industries, as well as other consumer-facing brands with global needs. Main offerings will include strategic planning, social launch and development, creative, emerging media, and other social programs designed to connect global brands and consumers around the world.
5Loom will be a subbrand of Imre that pitches account work in its own right as well as with Imre, said Mark Eber, Imre's president and partner. The new business model will expand on Imre's core principles of creating sustainable social marketing strategies that drive demand and business results for clients.
Headed by Crystalyn Stuart as president, 5Loom will service the social media needs of all Imre clients, as well as new accounts the agency brings in.
Based in Baltimore, 5Loom will be staffed by 19 social media-focused employees, most of whom were already employees of Imre. Because the agency is expanding globally, some staffers will be cultural and language experts from places including Russia, Brazil, and China. Imre employs 87 people in total.
“We see that as a benefit in helping companies here in the United States take their products to social media channels around the world,” Eber said. “We know how to work in those countries because we have people from those countries, and those channels are different.”
Imre's social marketing practice launched in 2009.
