ST. LOUIS: Fleishman-Hillard has named John McNeel global MD of strategic integration, effective April 2.
Reporting to agency president and CEO Dave Senay, McNeel will work to integrate PR, social, digital, marketing, and other work across earned, owned, paid, and shared media platforms. He will be based in New York. McNeel will also work with Senay to advance the company's analytics, planning, and creative capabilities.
Fleishman is building a global team of analytics assets and partners, planners, creative directors, social media specialists, film makers, and other content-based storytellers, the firm said in a statement.
“McNeel is going to help us make major strides in telling powerful stories across multiple platforms and geographies, and do it across the perfect mix of media required for each assignment,” said Senay.
McNeel will work closely with Richard Dale, who was recently promoted to global director of planning. They will work closely on new business development, investigating acquisitions, accelerating the pickup of analytics and partnerships, and working with the firm's regional presidents to recruit and train existing staff on integrated solution, said Senay.Previously, McNeel was president of global clients for ad agency TBWA. He also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi from 1998 to 2002, where he held roles including worldwide director of operations for its Procter & Gamble business and CEO for Turkey and the Middle East. McNeel also worked as a copywriter and journalist earlier in his career.
Steve Hardwick, GM of Fleishman-Hillard's New York office and president of its Eastern region, left the firm in December 2011.
