Edelman names Coca-Cola's Manley EVP

CHICAGO: Edelman has hired Coca-Cola's Lisa Manley as EVP for its Business and Social Purpose practice in its Chicago office.

CHICAGO: Edelman has hired Coca-Cola's Lisa Manley as EVP for its Business and Social Purpose practice in its Chicago office.

Reporting to Kevin Cook, MD of Edelman Chicago, she will counsel clients and oversee the Business and Social Purpose unit in the office starting May 15.

At Coca-Cola, Manley was responsible for global CSR and sustainability strategy as well as communications and marketing initiatives focused on water, health and wellness, climate protection, sustainable agriculture, packaging, and women's issues.

Previously, she worked as VP and group director for Widmeyer Communications in Washington. Manley has also worked for the University of the South and Georgetown University on alumni and student initiatives.

Edelman launched the Business and Social Purpose group last week with Carol Cone as global practice chair.
