NASDAQ OMX launches Media Intelligence platform

NEW YORK: NASDAQ OMX Corporate Solutions has launched Media Intelligence, an integrated media monitoring and sentiment analysis platform.

NEW YORK: NASDAQ OMX Corporate Solutions has launched Media Intelligence, an integrated media monitoring and sentiment analysis platform.

Media Intelligence will offer real-time print, online, broadcast, and social media monitoring, as well as sentiment analysis. A partnership with Critical Mention allows the company to provide broadcast monitoring.

The service is available as a result of NASDAQ OMX's October 2011 acquisition of Glide Technologies, which allowed the company to expand Glide's existing media monitoring and measurement offering.

“We spent time after the acquisition really focusing on the development of that and we wanted to enhance that particular product because there is such a demand in the marketplace,” said Demetrios Skalkotos, head of NASDAQ OMX Corporate Solutions.

In addition to media monitoring and evaluation, the platform is able to analyze the tone of articles using advanced natural language processes, identify influencers through Klout and PeerIndex metrics, engage on Twitter directly from the platform, as well as provide traditional and social media statistics and geographical insights and charts that explain underlying data.

NASDAQ OMX Corporate Solutions is NASDAQ OMX's tech software business that provides PR, IR, and governance services to public and private companies.
