NEW YORK: MWW Group has promoted New York office EVP and GM David Herrick to COO, a new position at the firm, effective immediately.
Herrick, who will report to and work closely with MWW president and CEO Michael Kempner, will retain his position as GM of MWW New York. He will also take on oversight of the firm's Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles offices.
In addition to management responsibilities, Herrick will focus on growing the agency's client offerings and new business development. He will also continue some previous duties, such as providing strategic counsel to some of the East Rutherford, NJ-based firm's clients. Herrick will oversee about 100 MWW staffers.
“My role is to accelerate our growth by focusing on a unified culture, a unified service model both nationally and internationally, focusing on new product offerings, and making sure we continue to deliver the best client service and results that we possibly can,” said Herrick.
Prior to joining MWW in June 2010, Herrick worked as a communications consultant and served as EVP and GM in Kaplow Communications' New York office from March 2006 to September 2009. He also worked as a consultant at Bristol-Myers Squibb and as VP in Ruder Finn's consumer practice.
In 2011, MWW reported an 11% increase in revenue, year-over-year, to $38.6 million.
