NEW YORK: Chandler Chicco Companies has created a digital division after parent company inVentiv Health acquired Kazaam Interactive on Tuesday.
The Chandler Chicco Digital practice combines Chandler Chicco's existing digital strategy services with those of Kazaam.
The unit will work on information architecture, user experience design, creative design, solution architecture and delivery, website development and hosting, CRM integration, and content management systems.
Kazaam had focused on platform and solution architecture. It has worked with 60 brands, including Endo Pharmaceuticals, Insight Pharmaceuticals, and Quick Chek.
“The digital world is now part of how we approach medical resources and manage health in this country. I'm hard pressed to think of a client who doesn't ask us for digital solutions and taking advantage of social media opportunities,” said Bob Chandler, president and CEO of Chandler Chicco Companies. “Communities like PatientsLikeMe are growing, and people who engage in these communities have a deeper, faster, and more effective understanding of how to manage their medical circumstances.”
The practice will be based in New York, but it will include staffers from all the firm's offices around the globe, Chandler said. Its core digital team will train Chandler's staff on digital strategy and execution.
Chandler Chicco Companies reported revenue between $65 million and $100 million in 2011.
The Kazaam acquisition also means the firm will do more in terms of technology development, added Chandler.
“Health and wellness companies, including many of our clients, recognize that we're in the midst of a revolution in healthcare marketing spurred by changing consumer expectations and fueled by technology,” he said.
Digital communications and the use of technology in highly regulated industries, such as health, require greater-than-average understanding, Chandler added, noting that Kazaam has both technological credentials and deep experience in healthcare.
