SAN FRANCISCO: Meltwater Group has launched Meltwater Buzz Connect, a platform that allows users to create, manage, and publish tabs for their Facebook pages.
The company has also rebranded its social business product suite as the Meltwater Buzz Social Suite. It now encompasses Meltwater's Listen, Engage, and Connect services, and the company is also offering Connect as a way for business and agencies to publish more than status updates to Facebook.
“Now users have an entire tab to communicate something,” said Ric Pratte, director of Meltwater's agency partner program.
The ultimate goal of the service is to make it easier for customers to quickly create tabs with content such as surveys, promotions, and other campaign material.
“Now [customers] can concern themselves more with what they are going to say and how they are going to say it, rather than the technology behind it,” Pratte said.
It also allows users to see changes to Facebook tabs as they are editing, as well as publication scheduling, draft histories, social CRM, opt-in contact forms, templates and themes for content layout, a dashboard with engagement analytics, and integrated cross-platform social content.
Clients can purchase Connect on its own, or as part of the full social suite. The service on its own starts at $5,000 annually, which allows for one Facebook presence and up to five different tabs. The price then rises depending on the number of Facebook presences and tabs. The baseline annual price for the entire Social Suite is $14,000.
Meltwater was selected to be part of Facebook's Preferred Marketing Developer Program in April. The program helps developers build products that enable social marketing to become more effective and easy.
