NEW YORK: The Ad Council has elected Marc Pritchard, global brand building officer at Procter & Gamble, chairman of its board of directors for a one-year term. He succeeds BBDO Worldwide president and CEO Andrew Robertson.
Pritchard, a member of the Ad Council board since 2009, was previously vice chair. He has also served on the council's executive, nominating, and compensation committees.
Debra Lee, chairman and CEO of BET Networks, was elected vice chair. She will succeed Prichard in 2013.
The council also elected 19 new members to its board of directors for a three-year term.
P&G moved much of its communications structure under Pritchard at the end of last month.
