MARINA DEL REY, CA: Cooking.com, an e-commerce company that sells cookware, home products, and recipes, has selected Finn Partners as its first PR AOR after an informal review.
The company “recently engaged PR efforts to reposition its business offering as a complete e-commerce solution for brand partners,” said Jason Alexander, VP of marketing for the online retailer, via email.
He also cited Finn Partners' “working style” and “fit with the company.”
The agency, with a core team of three staffers on the account, will focus on creating a robust b-to-b program for Cooking.com. It will also engage trade and business publications in the marketing, cookware, and culinary spaces, said Debbie Ehrman, managing associate at Finn Partners.
“We want to raise awareness of the brand as the name behind the biggest names in culinary e-commerce, so we really want to get their profile out there and start building excitement for them,” she explained.
The agency's Los Angeles office, which is leading the account, will look into particular events and conferences for Cooking.com to attend to raise awareness of the e-retailer, said Ehrman.
She added that the firm will also set up in-person meetings and phone interviews with trade media outlets and b-to-b publications.
Finn Partners' staffers have worked with companies in the food and beverage and culinary industries such as Bosch Home Appliances, Dole Packaged Foods, Treasury Wine Estates, and Moe's Southwest Grill. Finn Partners spun off from Ruder Finn last December.
