MEXICO CITY: Travel site Hotels.com, an Expedia brand, selected Cohn & Wolfe Mexico as its PR agency partner.
The agency, which already works with the hotel booking website in Switzerland and Greater China, is tasked with raising consumer awareness and brand recognition for the company throughout Mexico.
Cohn & Wolfe will engage targeted media for the brand, showcasing Hotels.com programs, such as the "Welcome Rewards" loyalty program. The firm will also increase awareness of the company's mobile app.
"This is a natural extension of the relationship Cohn & Wolfe has built with Hotels.com in other markets," said Roberto Gonzalez, president of Cohn & Wolfe Mexico. “Hotels.com has helped countless travelers cut through the clutter to book the perfect hotel and with Cohn & Wolfe's strong understanding of the needs of the Mexico market, we are enthusiastic to strengthen such a vibrant destination for the company.”
Senior director of global communications for Hotels.com Alison Couper said in a statement the company selected Cohn & Wolfe because of its “approach to media communication in Mexico” and “fresh thinking.”
In 2010, Hotels.com selected Ruder Finn as its AOR in the US and Canada following a global agency review.
