AUSTIN, TX: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has promoted Amy Paddock to co-head of global client service, a new role at the agency.
Paddock will work with the agency's regional leaders, GMs, and practice heads to support client leads. She will initially focus on US-based clients while continuing to be based in Austin, TX. Fellow co-head of client service and vice chair Vivian Lines is based in Singapore. Paddock will report to global chairman and CEO Jack Martin.
“Appointing a co-leader in North America gives us even more opportunities to provide our clients with expertise across services and sectors,” Paddock said. “My focus will be continuing to establish H+K as a key strategic partner and thought leader, in part by cultivating our best talent, building strong relationships, and growing our accounts through new and differentiated services.”
Paddock was previously SVP and GM of the WPP Group firm's Austin office, where she managed campaign strategy involving financial transactions, reputation, legislative, and regulatory issues. Prior to that, she was MD at Public Strategies. She also served as an associate in the equities division of Goldman Sachs' New York office.
Bill Lauderback, formerly a senior adviser at Public Strategies, has replaced Paddock as GM of H+K's Austin office. Lauderback was previously EVP at trading firm Momentum Securities, VP of governmental affairs at the Texas Mid-Continental Oil and Gas Association, and VP of operations at Washington, DC-based consulting firm Bonner & Associates.
Earlier this month, H+K promoted former New York director of healthcare Susan Thiele to US healthcare practice leader.
In July, the agency appointed vice chairman Mark Thorne global COO, succeeding Ken Luce, who took on a senior adviser position. Martin said at the time that the COO change was part of a realignment of senior roles at the firm.
