Edelman has promoted Matt Hurst to the role of MD of its UK technology practice.
Hurst, who joined the agency in 2007, had been EVP for technology.
He replaces Caibre Sugrue, who left in April to become GM for the UK at Waggener Edstrom.
During his time at Edelman, Hurst has worked on accounts such as Microsoft, Motorola, and Hewlett-Packard, running both UK and international programs across up to 50 countries in EMEA.
As part of the Edelman EMEA strategy working group, he has also played a role in shaping thinking for influencer engagement, driving integration of social, digital and multiscreen or multichannel content approaches at the agency.
Hurst, who had also led training across EMEA, said he was “honored” to be given the new role, adding: “It's such an exciting time to be in the technology space.”
