DENVER: Technology PR agency Clement Communications has acquired Sacramento, CA-based digital design firm Hon Marketing and renamed it Hon Digital.
Hon, which has relaunched its agency website, will collaborate with Clement on market research, website design, digital, content marketing, and other services to help brands engage consumers.
Clement founder and principal Bret Clement has worked with Hon in the past and said the firm's president, Samuel Hon, “understands the power of influence on the digital side.”
“One is we have a shared vision of how influence in evolving in the social world, so there is an opportunity for us to build a business around that,” Clement explained.
He added that Samuel Hon will continue to lead the Hon office. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Clement said the acquisition amount was under the $1 million mark.
He added that the two agencies “will partner as needed and grow where the market” looks the strongest.
As part of the acquisition, Hon Digital will partner with Nancy Friedman, the founder of NextStep, in the consumer space, and Hen House Ventures founder Tara Spalding in the tech sector. Both Friedman and Spalding will join Clement's board of advisers and offer their communications expertise to help the firms with their product offerings.
