HOUSTON: The Houston-Galveston Area Council is seeking up to four firms to provide a wide range of marcomms services in the next two years.
The value of the contracts is $600,000 combined over a 24-month period. The possible scope of work includes campaign planning, specifically the distribution of collateral materials, audience research, and creating multi-lingual outreach components.
The winning firms may also be responsible for media relations work, which involves facilitating media attendance and event coverage.
The Houston-Galveston Area Council is a voluntary association of local governments in the 13-county Upper Texas Gulf Coast Region that focuses on community and environmental planning issues.
The RFP deadline is October 2, with a decision expected by November 20. The incumbents on the account are KGB Texas, EC Productions, Graphic Granola, and BQR Advertising and Public Relations, according to Andrea Tantillo, a communications specialist at the council.
In April, the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas hired Hill+Knowlton Strategies as its AOR.
