NEW YORK: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has hired Amy Rosenberg as EVP and US director of media relations, a new role at the agency.
Rosenberg will be responsible for developing the media relations practice, as well as leading media relations programs and providing strategic communications counsel to clients. She will report to Jody Venturoni, EVP of the US region.
Prior to Rosenberg's appointment, media relations was integrated within the WPP agency's other practices, said Dan Bartlett, US president and CEO of H+K. Rosenberg will be based in New York but work across US markets. She will also collaborate with the firm's digital teams, Bartlett added.
“As we put a clear focus on providing best-in-class consulting to our clients, the price of admission always starts with preeminent media relations as an offering,” he said. “We're sending a signal to the market that we're putting a greater emphasis on our media relations practice.”
Rosenberg was previously MD in Burson-Marsteller's corporate practice, where she led the financial media relations and communications program at the sister WPP firm. Prior to that, she was MD and director of media relations at Financial Dynamics, which was rebranded under FTI Consulting in 2011. She also served as North American director of media relations for research and trading at UBS Investment Bank, formerly PaineWebber, and as VP at Rubenstein Associates.
Last month, H+K promoted Amy Paddock to co-head of global client service, another new role at the agency.
