NEW YORK: Fenton has hired Beth Kitzinger as MD of its New York office.
She started at the firm in August and oversees day-to-day operations, client services, and new business strategy. In the role, Kitzinger will work to raise Fenton's global profile, grow the New York staff, and align operations of the agency's six offices.
Kitzinger replaces Rob Anderson, who left Fenton after more than two years there. She reports to CEO David Fenton.
“Fenton is a progressive shop that actually accelerates change," explained Kitzinger. "We're making a difference, not just doing publicity for publicity's sake.”
Previously, Kitzinger was SVP and chief of staff to North America CEO Marian Salzman at Euro RSCG Worldwide PR. While at Euro, which she left in May, Kitzinger also led the agency's Buzz Group, which specializes in CSR programs, community management, event production, media relations, and mobile marketing. Prior to that, she was a VP at Kaplow for four years.
In August, Fenton launched a global network of 19 public interest communications firms in India, Indonesia, Kenya, Brazil, Nigeria, Egypt, and Spain. In addition to New York, the agency has offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and London.
Fenton hired Kalee Kreider, former communications director and environmental adviser to former Vice President Al Gore, as MD of its Washington office in June.
