NEW YORK: Euro RSCG Worldwide PR has rebranded as Havas PR.
The agency's renaming is part of a global rebranding initiative at holding company Havas. The Havas network's Euro RSCG Worldwide, which includes Euro RSCG Worldwide PR along with more than 300 branches in 75 countries, will now be known as Havas Worldwide.
Euro RSCG Worldwide PR North America is now Havas PR North America; digital agency Euro RSCG 4D rebranded as Havas Worldwide Digital; and healthcare communications firm Euro RSCG Life will be called Havas Life.
Marian Salzman, CEO of Havas PR North America, said the rebranding will mean greater collaboration among the holding company's PR agencies and a simpler, more unified structure.
“Clients have always known us as great local agencies, but didn't think of us as much as part of a global network. We're going to be harnessing the power of that [network],” Salzman said. “Our way of doing things even better is to transfer knowledge.”
The holding company will now be made up of two brands, Havas Media and Havas Creative. Havas Media will include the company's global media agencies, and Havas Creative will encompass the communications firms, such as the Havas Worldwide (formerly Euro RSCG Worldwide) network, Abernathy MacGregor Group, Cake Group, and the Arnold Worldwide advertising network.
The initiative will not result in any leadership changes.
Havas reported 2.1% organic revenue growth in the second quarter of 2012 to $555.9 million, compared with the prior year. North American revenue grew 0.5% at the holding company in Q2 to about $183.6 million.
For the first six months of 2012, Euro's revenue grew 2.7% organically to $1.04 billion, compared with the first half of 2011. North American revenue increased by 2% during that period to $354.8 million, compared with the prior year.
