IRVINE, CA: Mazda North American Operations has named Russell Wager VP of marketing, overseeing all marketing communications for the company's US operations.
Wager will oversee marcomms duties including print and electronic advertising, social media, the MazdaUSA.com website, PR, brand experience, auto shows, sales training, and aspects of retail operations. He will also manage the automaker's relationship with The Garage Team Mazda, its integrated marcomms agency.
Wager previously worked as SVP and MD of the Beijing office of DDB Advertising. He has also worked at TBWA/Chiat/Day, davidandgoliath, and Doner Advertising.
He will report to Robert Davis, SVP of US operations for Mazda North American Operations.
Mazda named Eric Booth senior manager of PR, a newly created position, in July.
