NEW YORK: Hill+Knowlton Strategies has promoted Andy Weitz, its US COO for the past year, to co-chair of the agency's global corporate advisory practice alongside co-chair Andrew Laurence.
Weitz, who will report to vice chair of global practices Vivian Lines, will focus on corporate efforts for the agency's US clients, while Laurence will handle international accounts.
Weitz's responsibilities will include driving new business, creating services for clients, and leading internal training initiatives for H+K. He will also collaborate with the firm's regional and general managers on business opportunities.
Prior to H+K, Weitz was a senior strategist at Public Strategies, where he helped to lead the agency's integration with Hill & Knowlton in 2011. He also served as president of gDev, a part of software company Trilogy, for less than a year. Weitz also worked at Trilogy from June 2005 to August 2007, serving as SVP of commercial operations for the first two years and GM for about six months.
