Ketchum taps Canevaro as Midwest brand lead

CHICAGO: Ketchum has appointed Edelman veteran Lainey Canevaro as SVP and Midwest brand practice leader.

CHICAGO: Ketchum has appointed 15-year Edelman veteran Lainey Canevaro as SVP and Midwest brand practice leader, effective October 22. 

Canevaro, who previously served as SVP of consumer marketing and lifestyle brands at Edelman, will report to Bill Zucker, partner and director of Ketchum Midwest.

Her responsibilities will include leading all brand marketing and consumer efforts and working with the firm's new business team, said Zucker. He declined to say who Canevaro replaced or how many employees will report directly to her.

Canevaro will also help to ensure that Ketchum is “bringing the thought leadership of the global brand marketing practice to both current and future Midwest clients,” added Zucker. She will also help with “building the knowledge base and training of staff,” he said.

Prior to joining Edelman in 1997, Canevaro worked for RHB Ventures and Special Olympics North Carolina. She also served as public affairs and honored guest coordinator for Special Olympics International for more than three and a half years.
