Pickard steps down as Burson Asia-Pacific chief

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has named Patrick Ford interim chair of its Asia-Pacific region to replace Asia-Pacific CEO Bob Pickard, who is leaving the agency.

NEW YORK: Burson-Marsteller has named Patrick Ford interim chair of its Asia-Pacific region to replace Asia-Pacific CEO Bob Pickard, who is leaving the agency. The firm is searching for a permanent CEO in the region.

Ford will continue to serve as Burson's worldwide chief client officer, reporting to worldwide CEO Don Baer. He was named agency vice chairman this year when Dave DenHerder succeeded him as US CEO. Ford has been working from Hong Kong for the past several months, the company said in a statement.

Ford has also served as chair of the corporate and financial practice and senior MD in Burson's public affairs practice.

The WPP Group agency's Asia-Pacific region includes 19 wholly owned offices in nine countries and 11 affiliate relationships across nine countries.
