Edelman creates holding company structure for China

BEIJING: Edelman has formed the Daniel J. Edelman China Group to oversee its four units in that country: Edelman, Edelman Digital, national consumer firm Pegasus, and sister agency Zeno Group.

BEIJING: Edelman has formed the Daniel J. Edelman China Group to oversee its four units in that country: Edelman, Edelman Digital, national consumer firm Pegasus, and sister agency Zeno Group.

Pegasus president Steven Cao will become CEO of the Daniel J. Edelman China Group. He will report to chairman Thomas Mattia.

Kevin Wang and Tony Tao, Edelman MDs in Beijing and Shanghai, respectively, will be co-presidents of Edelman China, overseeing the agency's operations there. Both will report to Cao.

Pegasus MD Jeffrey Yu will lead Pegagus China.

John Kerr, who became MD of Zeno Asia last month, will assemble the Zeno China team. The agency is expected to open an office in Beijing by the end of this year.

Edelman will name a president of Edelman Asia-Pacific Digital in the coming weeks, the agency said.

All leadership changes will go into effect January 1, 2013.

The Daniel J. Edelman China Group will consist of more than 220 employees in seven offices, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
