LOS ANGELES: MWW has appointed Bradford Walton SVP of consumer lifestyle marketing, a newly created role in the agency's Los Angeles office.

Walton, who most recently served as a consumer marketing and CSR VP at Edelman for six years, is reporting to JP Schuerman, EVP and GM of MWW California. He is overseeing a team of as many as 10 staffers across its US offices.

MWW acquired Enso Communications in June and named Schuerman to lead its office in Los Angeles.

Some of Walton's main responsibilities include growing the consumer practice and bringing in a team with a diverse skill set, since technology, social media, traditional media, and CSR can be integrated into consumer work for clients, said Walton.

He added that MWW in Los Angeles and on the West Coast is working to expand its consumer and sustainability practices.

“Typically they haven't been a focus for the office, and we really have a huge opportunity being in Los Angeles and Southern California to expand on that function,” Walton explained. “Coming from a CSR and consumer background, I'm really excited to reach out to so many companies that would be a fit that haven't been a focus for MWW up to now on the West Coast.”

During his time at Edelman Los Angeles, Walton worked with global brands such as Volkswagen of America, Nestle USA, PacSun, Starbucks, and eBay, creating CSR programs and PR campaigns for them.

Before Edelman, Walton spent eight years at brokerage firm Charles Schwab, serving as the senior manager of marketing, brand development, and advertising. While at the company, Walton said he helped develop the brand and worked on the “Talk to Chuck” advertising campaign.
