ISTANBUL: Edelman has opened an office in Turkey.
The Turkey branch is Edleman's 66th office. The agency hired Serra Türk Büyükfirat as GM of Turkey to lead the office. She will report to Chris Dobson, MD for strategic and emerging markets in EMEA.
Prior to joining Edelman, Büyükfirat was head of brand and communications at Türk Ekonomi Bankasi, a banking joint venture with BNP Paribas, where she managed corporate communications, strategic brand development, marketing, and internal communications. She has also led corporate communications at mobile network operator AVEA and held a number of senior positions at agencies including Wunderman and Young & Rubicam International.
