Jaguar Land Rover has promoted Fiona Pargeter to the position of head of global PR communications, replacing Frank Klaas.
Pargeter will take responsibility for the company's global PR strategy incorporating all product and corporate matters. She was previously global PR director at Land Rover.
Klaas, who she replaced, recently became executive director of communications and public affairs at Ford Europe.
Pargeter will join the executive committee of the company, reporting to Jaguar Land Rover CEO Ralf Speth. The move is effective immediately.
“I am pleased to have [Pargeter] on board, particularly at this time when Jaguar Land Rover is about to embark on a period of growth through the launch of new products and new markets,” said Speth. “She brings with her not just the respect of the industry but more than 20 years of automotive PR expertise and knowledge.”
Pargeter joined Jaguar Land Rover in 2009. As global PR director for the company, she oversaw the creation of the PR strategy for the Range Rover Evoque and most recently the PR launch of the new Range Rover.
Previously, Pargeter worked for Ford and was responsible for product PR in the UK.
Her career has also included internal communications and media relations roles at Volvo. She started out in automotive PR at Nissan.
