StrongMail selects Horn as PR AOR

REDWOOD CITY, CA: StrongMail, an email and cross-channel marketing company, has named Horn its PR AOR following a review.

REDWOOD CITY, CA: StrongMail, an email and cross-channel marketing company, has named Horn its PR AOR following a review.

Four agencies were invited to pitch for the business, said David Atlas, SVP of marketing for StrongMail, and Horn was selected because of its understanding of the company and digital marketing.

“I made my decision looking at the ideas they brought to the table,” he explained, “and the people I met on the Horn team gave me the greatest level of confidence in terms of delivering results.”

Prior to Horn, StrongMail worked with Kickstart Consulting for about a year and a half, Atlas said.

Atlas wants Horn to help StrongMail position itself as a thought leader and engage its target demographic of b-to-c brand marketers in the retail, financial, consumer products, and travel sectors to highlight its services and products.

The agency, with a team of five staffers, will engage a variety of trade, business, advertising, and marketing media outlets and bloggers to help StrongMail stand out in the space, said Kevin King, SVP at Horn.

He added that the firm is going to work with StrongMail to “up-level their PR and strategic communications and focus on how to tell a more compelling story to a business press audience, as well as to trades.”

Horn is also helping the company with thought leadership by working with its executives on their speaking programs and on event execution. The company is attending the Email Insider Summit on December 10 in Park City, Utah.

“StrongMail has a real track record of success and good recognition in their industry, but it wants to make that next leap up to be one of the unquestioned leaders,” explained King.
