NEW ORLEANS: The New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau has hired PR and marketing firm Deveney Communication as its AOR for 2013.
The firm won the account from Weber Shandwick, which held the contract for the past six years.
Deveney was selected because it encompassed all of the characteristics the bureau was looking for in an agency: experience, a proven track record, innovation, excitement, and a fresh perspective to moving New Orleans to the forefront of the international tourism market, said Stephen Perry, president and CEO of the bureau, in a statement.
The organization wants the metro region to reach 13.7 million visitors by 2018. Deveney is also the tourism AOR for the state of Louisiana.
