NEW YORK: Omnicom Group's Diversified Agency Services unit has promoted Min Chang, VP of business development and client relations for Asia, to serve as president of Asia-Pacific, effective January 1.

Chang will succeed Simon Dalby, who has worked at Omnicom agencies for 28 years and at DAS Asia for 10 years. Dalby will work with Chang throughout the transition, and will then focus on talent development.

Some of Chang's responsibilities will include working the DAS agencies on new capabilities and existing and prospective client relationships. She will focus on expanding the reach of the DAS network throughout the Asian markets.

Chang joined DAS in 2007 as VP of operations. In 2010, she was promoted to SVP of operations. Last May, she was named DAS EVP of business development and client relations for Asia.

Prior to DAS, Chang was in charge of the procurement organization at Honeywell International and worked at AstraZeneca as SVP of purchasing. She also held leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, American Express, and United Technologies.
