UK Prime Minister David Cameron's vow to give voters in his country the choice to leave the European Union if his party wins at the polls in two years is one of the issues vexing Martin Sorrell.
The WPP Group chief said at Davos earlier today that the possibility of Great Britain leaving the European Union is one of five major threats to the global economy, along with the US debt, Middle East tensions, the Eurozone crisis, and China's economy.
“If I am looking at it from the point of view of WPP, it is not good news. It is at least neutral, it is at worst negative. It can't be positive,” The Telegraph quoted Sorrell as saying.
That prompted former Bush Administration deputy press secretary Tony Fratto to tweet “Sorrell's worry list ripped from the cover page of everyone else's worry list.”
